In the First World War intervened daring pilots in the fighting, and flying aces like Manfred von Richthofen and Ernst Udet became celebrated heroes. By the conditions of Versailles practically dissolved, the German Air Force initially developed further in secret. After Hitler came to power and the test in the Spanish Civil War, it was expanded vigorously into a powerful military machine.

The lightning victory of the first years of the war would have been impossible without the Air Force. In the course of the war growing superiority of the allied air forces countered the German engineers along with many other inventions, the first jet aircraft and missiles. Revolutionary changes that came too late to prevent the military collapse.

Comprehensively and with some previously unseen film footage in color and black and white, this film features the development of the German Air Force from 1914 to 1945 according to relevant and exciting.
