After Hitler came to power and the test in the Spanish Civil War, it was expanded vigorously into a powerful military machine.
The lightning victory of the first years of the war would have been impossible without the Air Force. In the course of the war growing superiority of the allied air forces countered the German engineers along with many other inventions, the first jet aircraft and missiles. Revolutionary changes that came too late to prevent the military collapse.
