Explanation of each part

External shape
This champion aircraft of the Second World War was nicknamed Würger (Shriker).
The true form of the Fw 190 is shown here in all its glory.
The Fw 190 was one of the Luftwaffe's most important single-seat fighter aircraft during World War II and was developed under the design philosophy of Dr. Kurt Tank developed that “a fighter aircraft should be a warhorse and not a racehorse.” The A-4 in particular is representative of the early type silhouette before the extension of the engine mount. Dr. Tank by narrowing the hood. The diameter was increased as much as possible and the front surface was reduced by mounting the oil cooler and oil tank in front of the engine. In addition, the performance of the air-cooled high-performance engine was maximized by using the thrust from the exhaust pipes for acceleration. Note the exquisite surface shape that connects the subtly changing nose to the side of the fuselage, creating the overall shape of this spartan and robust German aircraft.
engine
The pioneer of engine control for fighter aircraft.
What is the “BMW 801” engine with command device?
The SWS kit recreates in detail not only the push-pull rods and baffles, but also the “Command Device,” a comprehensive engine handling device. Note the exhaust pipes, which only converge at one point on the underside of the nose section. The engine mount is mounted to the firewall via a truss-like structure that distributes the load across the firewall, the main fuselage structure and the wing spar. The way the machine guns are mounted on top of the nose and the shape of the propeller blades, which can be described as the essence of a piston engine aircraft, were also carefully designed.
Cockpit and canopy
The unique vision of Dr. Tank was taken into account.
The cockpit of the Fw 190 is compact, yet all equipment is clearly arranged and connects the pilot to the aircraft. The arrangement of the instruments, which are well organized and clearly visible, the switches and levers which are easy to reach, are very rational, and the pilot receives as good a care as only Dr. Kurt Tank, who was a pilot and engineer, could become pregnant. The canopy slides rearward on tapered tracks along the edge of the cockpit, changing shape when opened or closed. The headrests feature the larger bulletproof plate used on the A-4 and later models. This kit includes the canopy and headrests that correspond to the open or closed position. You can place them in the open or closed position depending on your preference. The robust windshield with 50 mm thick tempered glass at the front and 30 mm tempered glass on the sides is also included.
