The well-known in Germany and Austria under the name Iron Crescent Ottoman war medal (Ottoman حرب مدالیه سی, IA Harb Madalyası) was founded on March 1, 1915 Sultan Mehmed V and consists of only one class. She was awarded both members of the Ottoman Empire and its allies. In the English-speaking world it is referred to as the "Gallipoli Star". The Iron Crescent was the last award, which was founded by the Ottoman Empire.
