Dragon is re-releasing its superb large-scale model of the world-famous M2 0.50-caliber heavy machine gun. When first released this 1/6 scale model was highly sought after, and now it’s available again. The M2 machine gun was designed at the end of WWI and entered US service in 1933, but it has been used in innumerable conflicts around the world since then, right up to the present time. "Ma Deuce", as it’s sometimes referred to, can be vehicle-mounted or, as in this kit, fitted on a tripod for ground-based firing. The M2HB continues to be manufactured in the USA and under licence elsewhere, with more than three million estimated to have been made so far.

The kit form of this veteran 12.7mm weapon has intricate detail and offers pleasurable assembly. It comes with a workable and foldable tripod, and a detailed ammunition box and realistic 0.50-cal ammo belt are included too. Metal parts for the handles and ammo box latches ensure strength and scale appearance. The M2 is an unshakable favorite that never grows old, and fortunately this example of heavy firepower is now available again!
