Tank Assault Badge in Silver

The tank Badge was first founded in silver for the soldiers of the tank crews who took part in three different days in combat operations on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst Walther von Brauchitsch, the Commander of the Army. The tank Assault Badge in Bronze was donated later on June 1, 1940 for the rest of the troops, which assumes the tank units

were like the tank Grenadier units, motorized infantry or Panzerspäheinheiten, but were not eligible for the award in silver in question. In fulfillment of the same conditions the badge was awarded in Bronze. The badge was given by division commanders later by Battaillionskommandeure. Ceremony figures are silver at 22.000 and bronze at about 12,500. On June 22, 1943, the originally donated at a level badge was extended through the use of numbers in 5 steps. The steps were used without number, 25, 50, 75 and 100 inserts. Use numbers it was for the silver and bronze for the badge. The prices make depending on the application number.
