Foundation text of 10 January 1941:

"I authorize the introduction of the" Battle of the flak badge. "About form of badge, etc. see the following description and drawings.
A. Description.

   
The Badge of the flak consists of a 8.8 cm gun that of an oval

   
Is surrounded by wreath of oak leaves, which bears on the upper part of the insignia of the Air Force.
B. Dimensions

   
Dimensions of the ring: height about 55 mm, width 45 mm;

   
Wingspan of the eagle: about 40 mm, height 30 mm.
C. Provisions relating to the award
   
I. Conditions for the award
      
1 The Badge of the flak can officers, NCOs and men of the

         
Anti-aircraft artillery are awarded for outstanding combat performance.

      
2 The award may be made to individuals and fire units, namely:
         
a) When fighting enemy aircraft:
            
aa) for heavy batteries at least 5 kills, to the relatives of the battle-

            
battery, if they have been directly involved in the firings,

            
bb) for light batteries at least 5 kills with guns of the same move to the

            
Leaders and operations of those guns that turn that the firings

            
have been directly involved,

            
cc) for 150 and Flakscheinwerferbatterien Flakscheinwerferzüge 60 cm:

            
If at least 15 or 20 different cases of successful work of the

            
Operations of the same Flakscheinwerferbatterien or drive trains the conditions for

            
successful fight by night fighters or anti-aircraft batteries were created and

b) participate in 3 different fighting against earth or sea targets under

Decree of 7 January 1942 (Subject award the badge to medical officers and medical personnel under):

"The Badge of the flak has been donated for officers, NCOs and men of the flak and is awarded as a visible sign of recognition for outstanding combat performance.

   
As an active part in hostilities as intended is a prerequisite for the award of the Flakkampfabzeichens comes from principles of international law a ceremony this battle badge to members of the medical personnel who are under the protection of the Geneva Convention, not considered.

With a change in the determination of 13 August 1943 has approved an award of the badge at Air Force helpers and Flakwehrmänner the Heimatflak.

Available from 31 March 1944:

"The rights conferred on anti-aircraft and air force helpers awards during the war on the service and carry service protective clothing 2 cm above the upper edge of the left breast pocket and clothing without breast pocket the same amount to a small order-buckle.

   
The wearing of medal ribbons on lapels or button holes is not permitted. On the surface has no orders and medals are worn. "1

In the course of the war, more orders were announced, in which the firing-recognition and launching confirmation have been defined (1 September 1944).
