The T-34 was described as the most important weapon that helped Russia win the war in the East. One site where the T-34 was manufactured was the Stalingrad Tractor Plant (STZ), which became famous for its role in the brutal Battle of Stalingrad. To produce the T-34, STZ used blueprints from Kharkov Plant No. 183, but modified them slightly to adapt to locally available components. As 2022 marks the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad, a crucial turning point in World War II, Dragon is releasing two new 1/35 scale T-34/76 STZ Mod.1941 and Mod.1942 kits . Each kit is a 2-in-1 offering, meaning slightly different configurations are possible for each model year. As you would expect, the models are bursting with detail. There are photo-etched parts to display fine elements. A bonus Alimunum Rifle Barrel is also offered. The tank is covered with Magic Tracks that are quick and easy to assemble. Eighty years later, with production resuming, modelers can now assemble a Russian T-34/76 tank from the famous STZ factory!
